The last few days have been a little stressful. My husband and I are trying to decide when to buy a house and my doggie isn't feeling very good. With the house thing I just want to come to some sort of decision already! We have wavered between starting to look next month, not looking until September, or waiting for another 2 years! All the decisions have good points and bad points.
Also, my dog has stopped going upstairs, which is very unusual for her. We finally figured out that one of her back legs was hurting her, so she couldn't go up the stairs. I am so glad that my husband had today off work so he could take her to the vet. The vet said it was not a fracture, and probably was some sort of strain. So she gave us 10 days of anti-inflammatories and said she would call on Friday to check on her. So right now we have her camped out downstairs with all her stuff. The kicker is that the vet said the strain was probably caused by Maggie being overweight and she wants her to lose about 10 pounds! So now Doggie and Doggie Mommy are going to be on a diet.
I'm just glad that I have been exercising lately, it really helps with all this stress. Yesterday I ran for 6 min in a row. It wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be. Losing 15 pounds really helps. I did try to concentrate on keeping my shoulders and neck loose because lately they have been very tense after I run. I think it worked.
One bad thing about all this stress is that I spend way too much time on the Internet. But I did find something really cool! I was reading Carrie's blog about the change purses she has made (aren't they cute!) and I followed the link to Splityarn and checked out her store and found this. I LOVE it! This circular needle case is exactly what I need, and if you check out the pictures she even has double points in it too. But here is my dilemma, Caro also has a tutorial on how to make your own circular needle case. So, do I make one or buy one. Making one would be cheaper, and since I am a little short of extra spending money that would be the best way to do it, but I don't have a sewing machine! But I think I might be able to work around that. Decisions, decisions. I would love to have two cases, one for my circulars and one for my double points. I have enough needles that I do need the extra room. Oh, and I want to make one of those cute change purses too. But that will definitely have to wait until I have a sewing machine. I am getting so crafty these days.
I'd say go ahead and make one! Glad I could point you in the right direction!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear your doggie will be feeling well soon!
Way to go on the running too, I can only run for a minute or 2 at a time. Running is much tougher than it sounds.
Sorry to hear that your doggie has a sore leg. I hope she feels better soon.
ReplyDeleteGo ahead and make the needle case and change purse!
House hunting is difficult. We looked for a year semi seriously and then 6 months very seriously before we found our fixer-upper. I recommend that you casually look just to see what's out there and get an idea of prices and then plan from there. Good Luck!!

hope the puppy heals up soon! good luck with the house hunting.
ReplyDeleteSomething to try with the doggie. Give him a nice hot bath. My parent's dog had horrible problems with one of his hips (or both?), but he couldn't even lift his leg to pee. The vet said give him a hot soak in the tub. When he was done, he jumped out of the tub and ran down the stairs. He did fine after that.
ReplyDeleteCouldn't hurt. At least he'd be cleaner.
