Not that my normal titles resemble wittiness. My brain is a little dead today. I’m not really sure why, but it is. I went for a run this weekend. I got up Saturday and didn’t let the rain stop me. I ran on the treadmill in the apartment complex’s exercise room. They also have a elliptical machine and a multipurpose weight machine. I need to start using that soon. A couple Army guys were working out on the weight machine. It was interesting to listen to their conversation. Being a US Government employee it is always interesting to hear about other departments. One thing I learned is that military service, even being a civilian working with the military is way different than being in a completely civilian department. Yes, I know I am a snoop. I think that is one reason I like blogs so much. I get to peek into someone’s life. Ok, back to running. I spent 30 min on the treadmill, ran 5 min, walk 5 min. My heart rate went way too high a couple times, but I felt ok. I just ran through it. My left knee is bugging me again, so I need to do those leg lifts.
Not much new knitting going on. I’m still working on both blankets. I am working on my SIL’s blanket while on the bus home. I think I get about 2-3 rows done a trip, I have a very short bus ride. I did get the second strip done on my sister’s blanket. Here is proof!
The colors are a little off, but it is still cloudy here. Hopefully the sun will come out soon so I can get a color accurate picture. Five more strips to go. But here is a picture I did take while it was sunshiny! Yet more architecture in my office building, the big tower on the right is the apartment tower on top of the office building.
I like blogs for the same reason! and the knitting too.
ReplyDeleteMy husband has always had a government job and we both miss the military life a lot.
Glad to hear the running is going well. I can't even muster the time and energy to walk these days...

Oh yes, watching other people's lives is so very cool. Sometimes I like to look in the neighbor's windows and...oh....I mean...SOME people do that. Not me. :)
